kingdom, the.
The kingdom of Terre de Conte; a true haven of pure, unspoiled beauty and art, from the rolling plains of the eastern cities to the western river coasts and the northern mountain regions. And at the heart of it, Terre De Conte’s capital, The City of Venus, where the imperial castle is built. A nation of light and glory--of grandeur, power, splendor, and romance.
GEOGRAPHY To the north and central regions, the kingdom is full of rivers and rich farmlands. Another mountain range separates Terre de Conte from its neighbor nations in the south. The entire country has several rich rivers running through it: the Danrau, the Rhenus, akin to the Rhine, which runs too deep and fast to be forded, has been seldom bridged since Terre De Conte's founding, and the Lusande which runs through a province called Risralle. The western regions of Terra de Conte are extremely rocky, with great mountains known as the Sanguine Mountains. The western lands are very popular to tougher creatures such as ogres, dragons, and mountain nymphs. the eastern part of the empire is mostly plains and flat lands and it's eastern border is a great ocean. this region is popular to creatures like centaurs, mermaids, sirens, water nymphs, and others that like open space and the sea.
CULTURE --Social Castes: The social system in Terre de Conte is a parallel to that of midevial heiarchy. There is the imperial family, then the court which consists of the dukes, countesses, etc, then the working class though those who work in the castle are considered higher than those in the cities and villages. There have been rumors that slaves been being traded in the darker parts of the city.
--Currency: Terre de Conte operates on a currency system of copper, gold, and silver coins. Each are two and a half diameters in size and are marked with the imperial crest of the Sapphis family. Ocassionally, however, valuable items and gems can be used for trading. Currency from other nations is converted by the treasury.
--Language: The primary language is Gaelic and English, however since the recent Emperor’s crowning he has been spreading a fad for Elvish as well so that is also widely spoken as of recently.
--Technology: Everything is fueled by old magic, so all technology is magic based---lamps, heating systems, etc.
