THE HERALD
NEWS: The imperial princess' disappearance in the days past has been announced to have been the cause of an illness which kept her abed. In celebration of the princess' restoration to good health a tournament is to be held.

The tournament will be held in two parts. The first will be the Trial by Might in which all those proficient in blade, bow, staff, or any other weaponry or form of combat may participate. The tournament is open to any any all who wish to enter. The tournament's winner will be named Imperial Champion and shall be permitted to request a boon of the imperial princess. All those who wish to register to enter the tournament must sign the registry held by the guard captain.


RUMORS: Those who pay attention the shadiest dealings and exchanges may discover word of those who mean ill to the empire entering the tournament so they might use the boon for their own unsavory ends. Along with this gossip is the rumor that the princess' illness was not natural based, but in fact that she was poisoned.

TRIAL BY MIGHT
imperial tournament


All those of skill in weaponry and combat are invited to compete in the Trial by Might, this coming Sunday, to be held in the Practice Yard of the imperial castle. The winner of the tournament shall be named Imperial Champion and shall be permitted to ask a boon of the imperial princess, Her Highness Princess Anactoria Sapphis.


RULES
magic and any form of enchantments or spells (including be-spelled or enchanted weaponry) is strictly prohibited within the tournament
divisions of rank and stature shall be suspended for all tournament participants while competing.
foul play including unprompted dehabilitation of opponents, threats, or bribery are prohibited.
any participant who arrives late to the start of the tournament or to a scheduled match shall be disqualified.
infringement of any tournament rule shall result in disqualification.



Those who wish to register for the tournament must sign below with their full name and all ranks and/or titles held as well as their weapon or combat style of choice. Registering participants must also note if they will or will not agree to combat on horseback.
